December 6, 2010 - Monday Night Anarchy - Phoenix, AZ

Monday Night Anarchy
December 6, 2010
US Airways Center – Phoenix, Arizona
Attendance: 7,990 (42%)

The closing moments from last week's main event are shown as “Monday Night Anarchy” comes on the air. The clip shows Kane pinning Montel Vontavious Porter after a Choke Slam From Hell, and the post-match attack by D'Angelo Dinero. The clip ends with Dinero standing over Kane with a steel chair in one hand, and the X-Division Title in the other.

“Headstrong” by Trapt blares through the arena as fireworks shoot from the stage area. The cameras inside the arena pan around to show the crowd and the various signs being held up. Josh Daniels and Scott Micheals welcome everyone to Phoenix, just 20 days away from the Caged Rage pay-per-view, and announce that tonight, Ted DiBiase will take on Desmond Wolfe in non-title action. Also tonight, “The Big Red Machine” Kane takes on Kyle O'Reilly in an X-Division match… per HWL Owner Peter Bradshaw.

The lights in the arena go out as fire shoots from the stage area. KANE makes his way down the ramp, and enters the ring as the crowd voices their disapproval. Kane grabs a microphone as the lights come back on, and says that last week was nothing more then extra motivation to make sure he gets what he wants at Caged Rage. Kane says that D'Angelo Dinero's attack might have been effective for one night, but that it's going to take a lot more than that to keep him from winning the X-Division Title. Kane says that Peter Bradshaw is wanting to see how well Kane handles the X-Division style of wrestling; and says that all Bradshaw has done is made it easier for Kane to devastate the X-Division roster. Kane says that Bradshaw has made a huge mistake – taking away all the rules – and has handed Kane the X-Division on a silver platter. Kane says that tonight, Dinero would be wise to watch what he does to Kyle O'Reilly, because it will be exactly what happens to “The Pope” at Caged Rage.

Daffney vs. Angelina Love

Last week, Angelina Love earned the title of No. 1 Contender for the Women's Title. She will walk into Caged Rage, and face Natalya in 20 days, but tonight she had to step into the ring with the woman she threw out of the battle royal last week: Daffney. Daffney was hell-bent on making Angelina pay for costing her the shot at the Women's Title, and she spent most of the match unleashing her wrath on Angelina. Love, however, was determined to prove she was deserving of her title shot, taking everything Daffney could give her – including THREE separate Lobotmy's – and coming back for more! Daffney nearly won the match later in the almost thirty-minute battle, after tossing Love to the concrete outside, but Angelina was determined to finish the match inside the ring. By the end of the bout both Vixens were exhausted, but Angelina was able to duck a Daffney clothesline and connect with the Lights Out for the 1-2-3! After the match, the referee called for medical personnel down to the ring, as they carried both Vixens away from ringside.

Angelina Love pinned Daffney with the Lights Out in 0:28:12.

Backstage, Heavyweight Champion, Desmond Wolfe is with Alisha Hicks. Wolfe says that, in three weeks, he'll be stepping into the ring with someone new for the first time in months. Wolfe congratulates Matt Morgan for winning the Wicked Games tournament – saying that he had to go through some very serious competition to earn his title shot – but, that he is the longest-reigning champion of all-time in the HWL; and that he is looking forward to seeing what “The Blueprint” brings to the ring at Caged Rage.

Kaz vs. “Dashing” Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes made his in-ring return tonight, after spending some time in the development league – PCW – and winning the PCW Tag Team Titles with Brother Devon, formerly of TNA. But, tonight, he stepped into the ring with Kaz. There was a lot of back and forth action, as both men jockeyed for the advantage. Neither one of them held a distinct advantage until the end of the match, when Rhodes locked in the figure-four leglock in the center of the ring. Kaz fought as best as he could to get to the ropes, but Rhodes was able to pull him away every time. Soon, Kaz's strength gave out, and his shoulders fell to the canvas, as the referee counted the three! After the match, Rhodes quickly slid out of the ring and received a mixed reaction from the crowd.

Cody Rhodes pinned Kaz after a figure-four leglock in 0:17:58.

MATT MORGAN makes his way down to the ring as “Anarchy” returns, and says that it's flattering to hear that Desmond Wolfe is looking forward to stepping into the ring with him in three weeks, but Morgan says that he has other things to get off his chest before his Heavyweight Title match. Morgan says that, last week, Kurt Angle came out and ruined his celebration, demanding to know what Morgan thought about getting into the ring with Angle for a third time. Morgan said that he had spent a week going back and forth of the options put before him, and that either way, nothing was going to keep him from the title match he deserved. But, Morgan says that he is going to give Angle the chance of his one final match at Caged Rage. Morgans says that, next week, if Kurt Angle can beat him one-on-one, then the Heavyweight Title match at Caged Rage will become a Triple Threat Match with Desmond Wolfe. However, if Morgan wins, they do not step into the ring with each other for 30 days. Morgan says that Angle has his answer; it's now up to him to accept it or not.

Non-Title Match
The British Invasion vs. © The Hart Dynasty (w/Natalya)

The British Invasion had a chance, tonight, to redeem themselves from their previous losses to the Tag Team Champions, but as always, Natalya played a pivotal role. Natalya made her presence known, early on, by tripping Brutus Magnus, who pleaded for the referee to disqualify the reigning title holders. However, that did not happen, and the match continued until Tyson Kidd connected with the Springboard Elbowdrop on the much-larger Rob Terry to pick up the victory. After the match, as The Hart Dynasty celebrated their win, Brutus Magnus argued with the referee about the decision.

The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd) defeated The British Invasion (Brutush Magnus & Rob Terry) when T. Kidd pinned R. Terry with the Springboard Elbowdrop in 0:05:29.

KURT ANGLE is seen backstage, with Alisha Hicks, smiling as he says that he just heard the best news since coming back to the HWL. The good news is that Matt Morgan is offering to lessen his chances of winning the Heavyweight Title, just to prove a point to Angle. Angle says that if Matt Morgan is so sure that he will be Angle next week, then Angle has no choice but to accept the challenge. Angle says that he's already embarrassed Morgan once before, so he will have no problem proving who the better wrestler is again… and earning his own shot at the HWL Heavyweight Title.

X-Division Match
Kyle O'Reilly vs. “The Big Red Machine” Kanebold text

For the past couple weeks, Kane has made it very clear that he will stop at nothing to get championship gold around his waist, and he has recently set his sights on the X-Division Champion, D'Angelo Dinero. Last night it was announced that, in order to earn his title shot against Dinero, Kane would have to fair well enough in X-Division matches until Caged Rage. There really was no question that Kane would thrive in the “anything goes” world of the X-Division, and tonight he proved that all too easily, against Kyle O'Reilly. The ringside area was destroyed during this match, including a section of the guardrail and the announce table! O'Reilly was able to get in a decent shot on Kane, opening up a small wound on “The Big Red Machine's” head, but it only infuriated him more. After the small lapse, Kane regained the advantage and brought O'Reilly back into the ring, and send him through a table with the Chokeslam From Hell! Kane easily pinned O'Reilly for the 1-2-3.

Kane defeated Kyle O'Reilly with the Choke Slam From Hell in 0:11:10.

Non-Title Match
Ted DiBiase vs. © Desmond Wolfe

These two men have become very familiar with one another over the past few months, and once again, they fought without the Heavyweight Title being on the line. Tonight, however, Ted DiBiase had other things to worry about, besides the Heavyweight Title. CODY RHODES made his way down to the ring half-way through the match, and was a constant bother to DiBiase. Rhodes tried tripping his former partner, distracting the referee at times, and even sliding Desmond Wolfe the ring bell, which was used to no avail as DiBiase was able to put his foot on the bottom rope to break up the pinfall. But, even with all the interference and the short-cuts, DiBiase was still able to get the victory over the Heavyweight Champion, after hitting a beautiful powerslam in the center of the ring. After the match, DiBiase and Rhodes stared each other down at ringside as Josh Daniels and Scott Michaels signed off.

Ted DiBiase pinned Desmond Wolfe after a powerslam in 0:15:13.
