Commentators: Josh Daniels & Scott Michaels
Attendance: 9,625

Kurt Angle makes his way to the ring at the start of the show to a mixed reaction from his home state crowd. Angle says that, last week, he was not able to earn a spot in the main event at Brutality. He says he might not have beaten CM Punk last week, but he knows he’s still one of the best wrestlers in the HWL. Angle says that he’s accepted the fact that he won’t be challenging for a title on Sunday night, but he wants one more shot at Punk to prove that he can beat him. This brings out John Cena, who joins Angle in the ring. Cena tells Angle that he couldn’t beat Punk last week and really wonders why he’s out here again asking for a rematch. Cena says that he’s the person Punk needs to worry about because he’s coming for the title that should still be his at Brutality. CM Punk’s music then hits, as the Heavyweight Champion joins the two in the ring. Punk laughs at the notion that he’s worried about Cena, since Cena was the man he beat for the title. Punk looks at Cena and says, after he beats Angle tonight, he’s kicking Cena’s ass on Sunday.

Triple Threat Match
Eric Young defeated Tyson Kidd and David Otunga when he defeated Kidd by countout in 11:16.
Rating: * ¼

Tyson Kidd’s impressive winning streak came to end in tonight’s opening Triple Threat Match. All three men were looking to pick up the win as an added boost heading into Brutality, but in the end, Eric Young was able to incapacitate Kidd long enough to get the countout victory. Otunga became a non-factor in the match toward the end, as Delirious dragged him off the ring apron. The two men began brawling in the aisleway, until the bell sounded the end of the match. Afterwards, officials rushed down and broke the two apart.

Returning from the break, an angry John Cena storms into Peter Bradshaw’s office and says he’s going to be at ringside for tonight’s main event. Bradshaw tells Cena there’s no need for him to be out there, but Cena interrupts and says he’s going to be out there whether Bradshaw likes it or not.

ODB & Melina defeated Leva Bates & Brie Bella when ODB pinned L. Bates after the Discus Punch in 9:22.
Rating: ¾*

Last week, ODB was able to get her hands on Brie Bella, albeit during a backstage attack. Tonight, was different, as they Brie did everything she could to stay out of ODB’s grasp, using Leva Bates as her safety net. Bates ultimately took the brunt of ODB’s aggression, getting hit with a Discus Punch that laid her out for the three-count. Brie may have dodged a bullet tonight, but in six days, she’ll have no choice but to step in the ring with ODB, with the Women’s Title on the line.

Commercial Break

Backstage, Alisha Hicks is seen with AJ Styles and Kofi Kingston. Kingston says that, for the past few weeks, he and Styles have basically gone unnoticed. He says they are the second-longest reigning Tag Team Champions in the history of the HWL, and they haven’t been on TV in almost a month. Styles tries to calm Kingston down, saying that the more they are overlooked, the longer they an keep the titles around their waists. Styles says they might be forgotten, but when they show up on Sundays, they make their point. From behind Eric Young and Martin Kirby attack the champions, sending them sprawling to the ground. Young ensures that they haven’t been forgotten, but they will be after Sunday, when he and Kirby win the Tag Team Titles.

Mike Sydal & Adam Cole defeated Magnus & Rob Terry when A. Cole pinned R. Terry after a flying cross body press in 8:28.
Rating: * ¾

After the loss last week, in which Adam Cole’s fiery temper got the better of him, this week it seemed to benefit him and Mike Sydal. While Sydal and Magnus looked on, Cole viciously used the ringside area to physically wear down the much larger Terry. This assault outside the ring allowed Cole to pick up the victory with a flying cross body press. After the match, Cole landed several stomps to Terry before escaping the ring as Magnus entered to save his partner.

Commercial Break

Returning from the break, Peter Bradshaw makes his way to the ring. He says that every time a claim is made that any of the HWL superstars may be putting themselves or others in jeopardy, he takes those claims very seriously. In light of the evidence that has been brought to him by Jay Briscoe and Eddie Edwards, Bradshaw says he has made a decision in the matter of Cody Rhodes and his alleged problem with alcohol. Bradshaw calls Rhodes to the ring, so he can give him his decision in person. However, instead, Briscoe and Edwards make their way to the ring. They tell Bradshaw that they want to see the look on Rhodes’ face when he gets fired. Rhodes’ music hits and he joins the three men in the ring. He says that Briscoe and Edward want him out of the company – and that’s fine. There are plenty of other places that would want him on their rosters. He tells Bradshaw that he doesn’t know what so-called evidence he has, but he’ll accept whatever Bradshaw decides to do. However, Rhodes asks Bradshaw one thing: to wait and make a decision until after Sunday night, so Rhodes can face Edwards at Brutality. Edwards starts to beg for Bradshaw to decline, but Bradshaw signs the match, telling Rhodes he has six days. After that, his decision is final.

Steve Corino pinned Christopher Daniels after a forearm smash in 6:08.
Rating: ** ½

Corino has been on a roll as of late, but tonight he fought his toughest challenge in Christopher Daniels. Daniels, who hasn’t been seen in an HWL ring a lot lately, showed no signs of ring rust, as he held control for most of the match. However, Shane Hagadorn got involved, distracting Daniels and allowing Corino to connect with a stiff forearm smash for the victory.

Punk turned his anger toward the referee demanding what the hell was going on after the match ended. Punk backed the referee into the corner before turning to go back to Angle. However, John Cena, who was watching the match at ringside, slid into the ring and attacked Punk from behind. Cena hit the F-U on Punk and stood over his body, saying “You can’t see me!”.
