June 12, 2012 - PCW Wrestling - Glendale, AZ

Attendance: 6,480 (36%)

Screenshots from last week’s Special Event are shown. The camera goes inside the arena, where James Westerfield welcomes everyone to Glendale. He is joined by Alfred Pressley. Tonight, Titus O’Neil takes on Jack Swagger; and the Tag Team Champions will be in non-title action.

Claudio Castagnoli and Shane Hagadorn make their way down to the ring, getting showered with boos as they walk down the ramp. Inside the ring, Hagadorn tells the crowd to shut up, because the man who should be the number one contender is about to speak. Castagnoli takes the microphone and says that there’s a conspiracy against him. The people in charge of the PCW don’t want him to step into the ring against The Big Show, because he’s the only one in the PCW that can beat him. Claudio says there’s no explanation anyone can give him that will make it acceptable for him to have not been in the Triple Threat Match last week. He says he has a suspicion of who’s behind it, and that he’s going to find him if it takes all night. Claudio’s music hits again, as he and Hagadorn leave the ring, and the camera goes backstage.

Backstage, Commissioner Rex Butler approaches Television Champion Justin Gabriel. Butler says that, due to what took place last week – and Jeremy Buck’s in ability to take part in his scheduled match – Gabriel will be defending the title against Buck in tonight’s main event.

Commercial Break

A recap of Jay Lethal and Wade Barrett’s title defense from the Special Event is shown.

Non-Title Match

As seen before the match, Lethal and Barrett are once again champions, and their second match with the belts was against Kazarian and Luke Gallows. The champs didn’t look as if they came in giving this new duo a lot of credit, as they were quickly taken off-guard by their opponents’ offense. Kazarian and Gallows worked very well as a team, nearly picking up a victory after a Gallows hit a gutbuster on Barrett. Lethal and Barrett had to dig deep to fight back; they were assisted – in a way – by RHETT TITUS, who showed up at ringside, distracting Luke Gallows. As Gallows turned around, Barrett connected with an elbow. He followed that up with a spinebuster slam for the 1-2-3.

After the match, Lethal and Barrett celebrated inside the ring. At ringside, Kazarian stared a hole through Titus as he made his way backstage.

In the back, Claudio Castagnoli is seen searching for the person he claimed was responsible for keeping him out of last week’s main event. The announcers can only speculate as to who he’s looking for.

Commercial Break

Returning from the break, Kenny King is seen congratulating David Otunga on becoming number one contender last week. The two are interrupted as Heavyweight Champion, The Big Show, appears. Show smiles and says that Otunga may or may not have deserved what he got last week. But, since he’s in the position so far, Show warns him to be prepared. Show slaps Otunga on the back and walks off as both Otunga and King stare behind him.

Jack Swagger vs. Titus O’Neil

It’d been a number of weeks since both men had stepped into the ring, and tonight they were both looking to take the next step in their paths to success in the PCW. This was a very stiff battle, between two big men, neither one wanting to give up any ground. The match went outside, and saw Titus ram Swagger into the guardrail. Swagger dodged a clothesline, hitting a belly-to-back suplex onto the concrete floor that stunned the crowd. Swagger used a distraction by The Swagger Soaring Eagle to reenter the ring first. Titus pushed down the Eagle and entered the ring, where Swagger jumped on offense. Titus fought back, and looked set to put things away, when DAVID OTUNGA made his way onto the ramp. Both men stopped at the appearance, and the announcers questioned Otunga’s reasons for being at ringside. Back in the ring, Swagger turned into a short clothesline by Titus for the 1-2-3.

After the match, Titus gets up and looks at the ramp, as Otunga walks behind the curtains.

Backstage, Brooke Barlow is with Rhett Titus. Brook asks about Rhett’s appearance at ringside earlier tonight. He says that he’s not concerned with that right now, because there are bigger issues in his world. Rhett says that he is not to blame for Jeremy Buck being nowhere near the arena last week and losing his shot at the Television Title. Rhett says that he was taking advantage of an opportunity that he was given; and he promises to have a very personal view of tonight’s main event.

Commercial Break

Returning from the back, Brooke Barlow is seen with Jeremy Buck. Buck says he heard what Rhett Titus said earlier; and that he has no respect in the locker room. He and his giggalo tag team partner haven’t done anything in the tag team division. Buck says Rhett was handed a golden chance to become something in the PCW… and he had it snatched away by the person whose chance it truly was! Buck says that he is going to become Television Champion tonight, and that Rhett Titus better stay out of his way.

A recap of last week’s Television Title match, and Jeremy Buck’s words afterward is shown.

Minutes after the match began, RHETT TITUS made his way to ringside, where he joined the announcers on commentary. Titus said that he was there to find out of Jeremy Buck could back up his words or not. Buck looked like he was backing his words as the match went on, and this clearly frustrated Titus, as he tripped Buck behind the referee’s back. Moments later, as Gabriel whipped Buck into the ropes, Titus pulled them down, sending Buck crashing to the canvas! Titus assaulted Buck outside the ring, before the referee could pull him away. Titus was quickly ejected from ringside, as Gabriel went to work on Buck. Gabriel tried to use the attack to his advantage, but Buck was not going to give up. Buck fought his way back, hitting a DDT. Buck went to the top rope, and connected with the 450 splash for the 1-2-3, and become the new Television Champion, as Titus looked on from the ramp!

After the match, Titus ran down to the ring, attacking Buck, as Buck was being handed the TV Title. Titus grabbed the belt and smashed Buck in the head with it, before leaving the ring to a chorus of boos. Officials tended to Buck, inside the ring, as the announcers mentioned a situation backstage.

In the back, a brawl is taking place between Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero. Both men finally get restrained by officials. Castagnoli can be heard screaming that everything is Hero’s fault. The show goes off the air as the two men are separated further.
