Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode makes his way out to the ring as the show begins this week. Roode says that there are only four days remaining until he puts the title on the line against his tag team partner James Storm. He says that ever since Storm won the right to challenge Roode this Saturday night, no one has gotten a word out of Storm. Roode calls out Storm to do just that. Roode says that Saturday will be the first time in a while since they’ve stood across from each other and done battle. Storm says that he’s been waiting for a day to challenge for the Heavyweight Title, and it was about time for him to get his shot. Now that he does, it jus happens to be against someone he’s travelled the world with. Storm says, “Sorry ‘bout your damn luck,” to Roode because he knows Roode better than anyone else on the roster. Storm says it’s gonna be a hell of a fight and offers to shake Roode’s hand. Roode accepts and wishes Storm good luck because “you’re gonna need it.” Roode short arm lariat’s Storm to the canvas and leaves the ring to a roar of boos from the crowd. Storm gets to his feet, rubbing his jaw, as we go to commercials.

Commercial Break

Harlem Bravado pinned Rhett Titus with the X Marks The Spot in 16:09.
Rhett Titus suffered a larynx injury. He will be out for 1 week.
Rating: ** ¼

Bravado and Titus got the last show before Hollywood Hatred off to a good start with a start opening match. Bravado tossed Titus through the ropes, to the concrete at ringside, late in the match. While he was distracting the referee, KENNY KING appeared from the audience. King picked Titus up and dropped him throat-first onto the metal guardrail at ringside! King rolled Titus back into the ring, where Bravado hit the X Marks The Spot for the victory. After the match, Titus was in the ring holding his throat, as the referee called for medical personnel. They worked on clearing a passage for Titus to breathe before putting him on a gurney and rolling up backstage as we go to commercials.

Commercial Break

Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow congratulates Kelly Kelly on becoming Number One Contender for the Women’s Title. Kelly says that she was fortunate to come out on top last week. She says that the opportunity might not have come up had Tamina not gotten hurt, but she is not going to waste this chance.

Non-Title Match
Beth Phoenix defeated Melina by disqualification in 8:14.
Rating: **

For weeks now, Melina has been proving that she is eager to get a shot at the Women’s Title in the near future. A week after finishing second in a Fatal Four Way match for a title shot Melina got her chance to prover herself against the Champion. It didn’t go as well as she would have imagined, as nothing she gave Beth was enough to put her away. Frustrated, Melina got herself disqualified by not releasing a choke by the referee’s five count. After the match KELLY KELLY ran down and cleared the ring, standing over her opponent at Hollywood Hatred, as we go to commercials.

Commercial Break

The A-List Knockouts (Chris Hero & David Otunga) defeated Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder when D. Otunga pinned C. Hawkins with the Verdict in 21:13.
Rating: *** ½

Hawkins and Ryder were impressive in their debut match last week, but tonight they had a little tougher competition. Hero and Otunga have been teaming together for some time now, and have both received a lot of success on their own. A victory for the newcomers would have been a huge mark on their early records and would propel them up the ladder in short time. Howver, they were unable to pick up the victory tonight, as Otunga hit the Verdict on Hawkins after the referee allowed the match to continue past the time limit. Even though they didn’t pick up the victory tonight, Hawkins and Ryder put on another impressive showing. This might not be the last time these two teams face off against each other.

Commercial Break

Returning from the break, Brooke Barlow catches up with David Otunga as he and Chris Hero come back from the ring. Brooke asks if Otunga has an answer to the challenge issued by The Big Show last week. Otunga accepts the challenge and promises that the Big Show will be disappointed once again.

The Big Show defeated Alex Payne after a hiptoss in 12:44.
Rating: *
(Cody Rhodes no-showed.)

The Big Show was expecting to square off against Cody Rhodes here tonight, but due to some unforeseen travel issues, Rhodes was unable to make it to Salem. Instead, Alex Payne took Rhodes’ spot, much to the enjoyment of the Largest Athlete in the World. Big Show spent a majority of the match toying with and manhandling Payne, clearly trying to send a message to David Otunga who had accepted Big Show’s challenge just before this match. In the end, after a hiptoss, Big Show waited for Payne to get back to his feet, but it was clear the youngster had had enough. Big Show placed his foot on Payne’s chest as the referee counted the 1-2-3.

Commercial Break

Returning from the break, a recap of the altercation between Bobby Roode and James Storm is shown. A preview for Hollywood Hatred follows, as it’s announced that in six days, former friends and tag team partners will face off for the PCW Heavyweight Title!

Kenny King pinned Wade Barrett with the Coronation in 17:13.
Rating: *** ¼

Kenny King spent most of his night causing issues, mainly for Rhett Titus. After sending his former partner away on a gurnery with possibly throat damage, King found himself in the ring with one-half of the Tag Team Champions in tonight’s main event. Barrett was looking to get a victory heading into his and Martin Kirby’s title defense against Luke Gallows and Kazarian, but after a long and entertaining match, King ended those hopes with the Coronation for the 1-2-3.
