-“This Is War” plays as Alfred Pressley and James Westerfield welcome everyone to the campus of Southeast Missouri State. A recap of last week’s main event between Bobby Roode and Wade Barrett is shown, ending with Roode standing victorious in the middle of the steel cage, holding the Heavyweight Title.

-PCW Commissioner, Rex Butler comes out to the ring to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Butler says that last week answered the question of who would be defending the Heavyweight Title at the next PCW special event, “Hollywood Hatred”. He says that just leaves the question of who will be challenging Bobby Roode on October 13th. Butler announces that the answer to that question will be given, later tonight, as he has signed a Number One Contenders’ Match for the main event. He announces that, tonight, Kenny King will take on James Storm for the chance to main even “Hollywood Hatred”. Butler leaves the ring as the show goes to commercials.

Martin Kirby pinned Drew McIntyre after a knockout punch in 9:23.

-Coming back from the break, Brooke Barlow is seen backstage with Kenny King and Rhett Titus. They are seated in a room somewhere in the arena. Brooke says that, after the events that took place last week, Titus requested the chance to have a sit-down conversation with King, to air out everything that’s on his mind. Titus repeats his frustrations with not being able to win the Tag Team Titles, feeling that he and King were clearly the better team. Titus tells King that they’ve been teaming for a long time, but that Titus doesn’t feel like King has been pulling his weight lately. King says he’s sorry Titus feels that way, but says he’s been working just as hard as Titus. King even says that, later tonight, he’s got a chance to earn a shot at the Heavyweight Title, so he must be doing something right. King says, on the off chance that he doesn’t win tonight, he has talked to Commissioner Butler, and he and Titus will have a tag team match next week. Another chance to get back on the same page.

-Coming back from the break, Brooke Barlow is seen backstage with Luke Gallows, who gives an update on Kazarian. Gallows says that he’s back in California, recovering at home. He says that Kazarian has every intention on being back before Hollywood Hatred; and that they have every intent to take the Tag Team Titles away from Martin Kirby and Wade Barrett. As Gallows goes to leave, Kirby and Barrett jump him from behind! They send him into a concrete wall in the hallway, before laying into him with a number of stomps. Barrett and Kirby walk away, as Gallows writhes in pain on the floor.
